The cost depends on size, shape and style of edging you choose. We offer competitive pricing for custom rug creation and stair runners with our prices starting at £7.00 per linear metre. Our workshop in Great Dunmow, Essex, is open during standard business hours, from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Yes! We can craft custom-shaped rugs to fit awkward spaces, curved entryways, fireplaces or specific room layouts. We can edge boat, caravan and motorhome carpets also. Just bring in your template or measurements.

Yes, we do not sell carpet so you will need to purchase carpet from a carpet shop. We work closely with a large number of carpet retailers so we can advise you on the best shop to purchase carpet from in your area. You can supply your own carpet offcuts, leftover materials from a home fitting, or brand new carpet rolls. We will expertly finish the edges for you.

No, we can cut your carpet to any size or shape to meet your requirements. Our squaring up service (neatening your edges) it completely free, but if you require us to cut your rugs or runners to a specific size, there is a small fee.

No, if you are leaving your carpet with us, you can deliver it to us any time during our opening hours. The turnaround time for this service is a week. However, if you wish to use our while-you-wait service, please contact us first to arrange an appointment and we can edge your carpet for you while you wait.

No, we can edge any size carpet. However, if your carpet is large (over 5m x 5m) then please contact us first to discuss your requirements.

Carpets can be easily rolled up tightly and placed into the back of most standard cars, hatchbacks and vans. If you are local to Great Dunmow, you can deliver your carpet to our workshop and collect it within 3-5 working days. Alternatively, you can book a while-you-wait appointment, and we will edge your carpet within 1-2 hours for same-day collection. Standard Tape Binding is available in a plain cotton finish or a herringbone pattern with approx. 55mm of tape visible on the surface of the carpet.Narrow Tape Binding is a synthetic material with a narrow profile for a very subtle look, showing approx. 5mm on the surface of the carpet.Slimline Tape Binding is our new style of carpet edging which is the same as Standard Tape Edging but with a narrower profile showing approx. 12mm on the surface of the carpet.

Carpet whipping is a traditional style featuring a woollen yarn which is overlocked to the edge of a carpet. It is a simple, affordable edging style suitable for all carpet types. Tape binding is a more contemporary style featuring binding tape which is folded and professionally hand-stitched to the edge of the carpet. It is a premium, durable edging style suitable for low-pile (short) carpet types.

While-you-wait appointments usually take between 1-2 hours depending on the size and shape of the rug or runner.Complex and/or large jobs may not be suitable for a while-you-wait appointment.Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

No, the carpet edging styles do not add any width to the carpet edges. The carpet edging is stitched to the edge of the carpet sides.

Yes, if you have an old rug that is fraying or damaged at the sides, we can often trim down the edges and re-edge or re-bind it to give it a fresh lease of life.
